Dealing with the menace of child labor and abuse in Africa

Written by  ADOKPELA JOHN SUNDAY

DEALING WITH THE MENACE OF CHILD LABOR AND ABUSE IN AFRICA

Child abuse poses serious danger and harm to the wellbeing of the society. every time it occurs, a child is abused through brutal torturing, malicious exposure, child trafficking, criminal assault, starvation, street begging and hawking and child prostitution. The profile of child abuse keeps rising and statistics have shown that most incidents of child abuse go unreported . Children are God's gift and blessing and should not be made to surffer or be exposed to willful assault, illtreats, neglets depriving them of survival and growth to become good citizens of the country. some surfer unreasonably severe corporal punishment, children have been dying because of negligence, some girls through reckless relationships and their babies abandoned. every child has the right to quality education and should be compulsory thereby, it should be free at elementary stages, education equips the child with knowledge that are useful in economic and social developent of a country.
I will like to humbly apeal all government in africa, especially Ghana, Nigeria and west africa at large, NGO's and other agencies concerned to insist on total eradication prohibiting human trafficking and child labor labor and abuse.
I do my best to educate both young and old in school and in the streets on the importance of Education to both human, economic and social development.

Thank you for the opportunity. God bless you all.
