I am STEVIE HARISON, 23 years old, from INDONESIA.
On this opportunity I want to share with all of you, the earth man and earth woman ... From June till October 2010, on behalf of volunteer for INDONESIAN CIVIL SOCIETY FORUM for Climate Justice (www.csoforum.net), I and some 20 young volunteers tried to campaigning about CLIMATE JUSTICE. We collected many aspirations and voices from any type of communities in Jakarta about climate change and its impacts to their life through CLIMATE JUSTICE postcard.
They wrote their ideas and opinions to strengthen public diplomacy of INDONESIA in solving global climate change problems. We did sent for more than 7,000 CLIMATE JUSTICE postcards to the embassy of the U.S.A in Jakarta as symbol that being the world's largest emitter (per capita accounted), the U.S. must be fully responsible for their efforts to reduce their CARBON FOOTPRINT and ECOLOGICAL DEBT. We collected it from school, universities, offices, and public space (malls, stations, and car-free day area on Sunday).
We tried to socializing the CLIMATE JUSTICE and its benefits for developing countries as well as INDONESIA to urge the developed countries to pay their industrialization consequences for RE-GREENING the EARTH through financing environmental preservations around the world and developing high technologies in supporting earth-friendly life styles and civilizations in the future. Now, we are trying to focusing our campaign in REUSE, REDUCE, and RECYCLE in our basic daily life, not to mention that we have to less consume and more produce.
Best regards from the world's most beautiful tropical country,
