Hong Kong students helping children with special needs

Back in April, 2015, a group of students from HKUST Connect (The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology) initiated the action of getting hearing impaired children more access to daily English (Second language to Hong Kong people). Deaf children face many challenges in learning English from school, not to mention the skills to use it. Through the weekends service, the university students successfully delivered some interactive games and workshop, which are conducted fully in English to the deaf children. The service has brought the deaf children chances to use English, and raised some HK students' awareness on deaf children issue in the city.
