The construction of water points and ablution blocks in Mathare slum

Written by  Douglas Nyachwara

I am a graduate engineer (Environmental Engineering) from the University of Nairobi and I have been taking part in volunteer work since I graduated two years ago.

As a volunteer I have had the opportunity to utilize my technical skill in the area of drainage and water engineering. Working as a volunteer with a youth enterprise firm called Enviware Solutions (k) and closely with Athi Water Services Board, I have made a contribution by Identifying, designing and supervising the construction of water points and ablution blocks in Mathare slum.

I am happy to have impacted positively on the lives of many in Area-5 and Kosovo in Mathare, Nairobi.

Douglas Nyachwara.
