Volunteering in the post-2015 agenda
The debate around the post-2015 development framework offers a unique opportunity to shift to an agenda that is more transformational, universal, inclusive and sustainable.
UNV and its partners are actively engaged in shaping the role of volunteerism in the new agenda and in the Sustainable Development Goals.
Integrating volunteering in the next decade and beyond
The Plan of Action 2016-2025 aims to integrate volunteering in peace and development policies and programmes through a more purposeful, strategic and collective long-term approach. On mandate of the UN General Assembly, UNV has conducted extensive stakeholder consultations and is now revising the plan before it is discussed by the UN General Assembly in September 2015. More
Promote volunteerism through MY World
Volunteers support MY World as a contribution to the post-2015 consultations and as a way to promote volunteerism. MY World is the UN global survey asking people to select their development priorities. Votes will be collected until end 2015 and will inform global decision-makers in the formulation of the new development goals. More
The UNDG Dialogues on the implementation of the post-2015 development agenda continued the global conversation. UNV supported national dialogues through its volunteers and co-led the global dialogues on Partnerships with Civil Society. More
