Without the help of our partners, our voice would be quieter. Our partners are encouraging volunteers in their own organizations to make their contributions more visible at Rio+20 and beyond by registering their stories of action with us and getting counted in the Volunteer Action Counts campaign.
Our partners can download the campaign banner and use it to link to us from their own website, encouraging their volunteers to use the hashtag #actioncounts, our @ActionCounts Twitter and Facebook pages to spread the word on their own channels, as well as to re-tweet the campaign’s main messages.
By engaging their audiences in the campaign, our partners can also potentially be featured online during an eight-week Twitterthon, or in a multi-media presentation at Rio+20.
Our list of partners continues to grow. You too can get your organization involved in the campaign and show the world that volunteer action is essential to achieve sustainable development.
Make your actions count at Rio+20!
Rio+20 is a conference about implementation, and an important part of that is making and delivering commitments. All participants at Rio+20 are therefore encouraged to make voluntary commitments to deliver concrete results for sustainable development.
Commitments are invited from various stakeholders- including businesses, other Major Group organizations, associations, academic institutions, philanthropic organizations, UN entities, and Member States. For information on how to register, please visit www.uncsd2012.org/commit.
The current list of registered commitments can be found at:http://www.uncsd2012.org/rio20/index.php?page=view&type=12&menu=153&nr=372
